Lunches

We run weekly luncheon clubs which take place at the Methodist Church Hall on a Wednesday and Thursday. They include a chance to play bingo or win a raffle prize after a two course hot lunch.

Exercise Class

We have a weekly, fun, chair based exercise class to music.  The class is held on a Wednesday at 10.30.

 Other Classes

 In Partnership with John Smeatons Community College we offer 2 courses:

Swimming Lessons - a dedicated session for over 60's a chance to learn to swim or improve. Monday afternoon 6 week courses.

Computer class - Wednesday afternoons a small group with a tutor who is able to teach basic computer skills and further skills working on individual requests where possible. 

Knitters Group

An intergeneration project with a local school, Parklands Girls, we have a group of ladies who are able to knit teaching students at the school during their lunch hour.  The girls are keen to learn and plan to knit scarves and mobile phone covers!

Advice and Visits

We offer an advice service, for example, home safety visits, benefits checks, help with form filling.

Gardening Service

Our gardener is able to cut lawns and hedges in order to keep gardens tidy throughout the summer.

Decorating & Odd Jobs

We are able to help with some practical jobs, please telephone to discuss you needs.
